Georges Rousse was born in Paris in 1947. His artistic work has been the subject of numerous solo and group exhibitions on the international art scene and several monographic publications have been printed (in addition to earning him grants and awards). His works are included in private, institutional, and corporate collections in Europe and America. Georges Rousse’s work studies the relationship between painting, architecture and photography. He explores the materials, colors and the luminosity of places that he transforms like a director, a mediator of the visible and the invisible. Master of optical illusion, he creates spectacular trompe l'oeil which emphasizes the power of light; the space he reveals is mere appearance and illusion. Whether they represent major characters floating in space, tortured faces, geometric shapes or words, his works have the primary function of establishing a distance between the viewer and the place where he or she is located. Georges Rousse’s installations, perceived as site-specific, are constructed and deconstructed according to the precise location from where they are observed; however, the final product offered to the viewer is a photograph where the lure is perfect, in which the work is perceived as it should be: the illusion of a transformed space. El Ojo de Adrián se alimenta de una ardiente fe en crear espacios para la expresión y difusión del arte, literatura y pensamiento intelectual salvadoreño y centroamericano. Nacido en formato de blog en junio del 2005, tomó por nombre el del único huracán de la milenaria historia del Océano Pacifico. El Ojo turbulento de Adrián es el punto de encuentro y discusión de quienes están decididos a crear a pesar de la adversidad, a seguir vivos y activos, a compartir la libertad y la belleza, y a afrontar la injusticia y la indiferencia.
El Ojo de Adrián es un esfuerzo independiente impulsado por tres artistas salvadoreños desde el anonimato y editado por el ilustre Enrique Walden-Lagos. A partir de Dic 2008 se conforma su nuevo Consejo Editorial rico en experiencias y aportes nuevos. A lo largo de su trayectoria una verdadera multitud de colaboradores regionales --escritores y pintores, poetas y fotógrafos, músicos y cineastas- han sumado sus voces y obras para alimentar las 100 visitas diarias y 431 suscriptores con los que cuenta, a la fecha.
El Ojo de Adrián se despliega así, de mil formas, en cambio permanente, arrasando territorios con materiales inéditos, desconocidos, olvidados y/o sorprendentes.
